A real post is coming, pinky swear. In the meantime, I’d like to announce an event put together by my pal Snuffycup — a fat chick clothing swap! It’s a free event, taking place October 23, 2010 between 2-5 PM at the Portland Public Library Kenton branch, 8226 N. Denver Avenue,
Portland, OR 97217. The nearest MAX stop (about a 2-minute walk) is Kenton/N. Denver Avenue. Just bring clean women’s clothing you wish to swap, and that’s it!

If you have any questions, post ’em here or email me, and I’ll see that Snuffycup gets a chance to read them.

man oh man — wish I’d known about this two days ago — just took 2 bags of good plus-size clothes to Goodwill!!!

What a great idea! Wish somebody would put one of these swaps together on the east coast. Nice. — Any follow up to this? Anybody find something fab? 🙂

It was terrific! A few people dropped off stuff and left without taking anything, so there was oodles of stuff to choose from. (I got an Old Navy white cotton sundress that I’m planning to tie-dye, a mauve fleece turtleneck, and a few other shirts.) If Snuffycup had any complaint, it was that there were too many things left over!
